Best described as an eclectic mix of industrial pop rock, Chinese Democracy features plenty of standard GNR trademark dramatic song styling, but without the presence of a ultra-powerful ballad like “November Rain” or a ultra catchy riff like “Welcome to the Jungle” it comes off more like an experimental Queen or Styx effort than a traditional GNR album but in the end is well worth the 10+ year wait. Guns N’ Roses Chinese Democracy to hit Best Buy on 11/23

Billboard has some great news for fans of Guns N’ Roses and oft-delayed albums (and Dr. Pepper)…

More than a decade after its conception, Guns N’ Roses’ “Chinese Democracy” will finally see the light of day before year’s end, sources close to the situation confirm to Billboard. As first reported here, the set will be a Best Buy exclusive and will be available Sunday, Nov. 23, rather than the usual Tuesday.

Dr. Pepper has announced that if the album is released by the end of the year, everyone in America will be entitled to a free can of the soda.

We wouldn’t be surprised if the soda has also been sitting on a shelf for ten years.
